A hauntingly beautiful slice of British acid folk, Under the Tree is the only album by Shide and Acorn, released in 1971 in a private pressing of just 99 copies—of which around 50 were supposedly discarded. That makes surviving originals horrendously rare. With its dreamy melodies, rustic charm, and homemade feel, this is a true holy grail for folk collectors.
